Take a little marketing advice from the NBA.  To get people in an arena in warm climates you got to make the game exciting.  Meaning you have to get people out of their seats.  The spinorama by Linus Omark did exactly that and is exactly what the NHL needs.  All the old school, my sphincter is so tight, I shit diamonds ,need to STFU cause I prefer my hockey exciting.  I am so tired of these insecure hockey players afraid to be shown up.  If I were them I would care more about the bottom line, meaning you need to sell tickets to survive in any market.  A guy like Linus who gets on youtube is exactly the type of coverage which will put people in the seats. 

BTW from a hockey standpoint the move was brilliant.  It is not something as a goalie you are likely to practice much against.  The spin causes the goalie to lose sight of the puck as the player spins.  The distance between the goalie and player is reduced meaning the goalie has less time to get the angles right.  From the goalie's perspective Ellis doesn't really know where on the ice Linus is going to come out of the spin. 

Hopefully all the boring players which can't put people in the seats in the sunbelt will start to take notice.  It is a game, have some fun and grow a set cause Linus Omark has a big old set and he shouldn't change his game one bit.
